Sourcing & Buying
Our Sourcing & Buying Operations
Beyond exporting, SA Trading runs its own acquisition pipeline — buying used, damaged and accident vehicles directly from end users across Japan, repairing them in-house, and moving them through our own logistics network.
Four Pillars of Our Buying Business
Direct End-User Purchase
We buy used, damaged, accident-affected and scrap-grade vehicles directly from private owners across Japan — not only through auction — securing lower acquisition costs that we pass on as competitive export pricing.
Aisai Yard & Repair Shop
A dedicated yard is being built at our Aisai, Aichi base with in-house dent and bodywork repair capability. Vehicles bought as damaged stock are restored to a sellable condition before being entered into auction.
In-House Logistics Fleet
SA Trading operates its own 2-car-capacity truck, based minutes from Nagoya Port — Japan's largest vehicle export hub — allowing us to move purchased stock without waiting on third-party carriers.
White Plate Advantage
Our truck currently runs on a private ("white") number plate, which lets SA Trading buy and move its own stock on its own truck from day one, while we work toward a commercial license for paid third-party transport.
Nagoya Port — Our Nearest Gateway
Nagoya Port is Japan’s busiest port by cargo volume and sits a short drive from our Aisai base. That proximity keeps haulage costs and lead times low from the moment we purchase a vehicle to the moment it’s loaded for export.
Combined with our own truck and growing repair capability, this local advantage is central to how we plan to keep buying — and selling — at competitive rates.
Where We’re Headed
Our targets for client acquisition and operations as the buying side of SA Trading grows.
01 — Grow Direct-Purchase Volume
Build direct relationships with end users nationwide, particularly around Aichi and Nagoya, to increase the share of stock bought outside the auction system at lower cost.
02 — Complete the Aisai Yard
Finish yard construction and bring dent and bodywork repair fully in-house, so more damaged-vehicle purchases become resalable stock rather than scrap.
03 — Feed Repaired Stock into Auction
Establish a consistent pipeline from purchase, to repair, to auction listing — improving margins on every unit bought.
04 — Expand the Logistics Fleet
Add capacity beyond the current 2-car truck as purchase volume grows, keeping more of the transport chain in-house.
05 — Move to Commercial Plate Registration
Progress from a white (private-use) plate toward a green (commercial) plate, so SA Trading can offer paid logistics services to outside clients, not only move its own stock. Requirements are subject to Japanese transport regulations.
06 — Grow the Client Base
Use the improved margins from in-house buying, repair and logistics to offer sharper pricing and win more export clients across Africa, the Middle East, Oceania and beyond.
